While at RISD I was invited to create a poster to represent the graduate Graphic Design program. For the poster I asked all 37 students to follow the instructions below.
1. On your computer open Photo Booth or another program that will allow you to take a picture of yourself (make sure Photo Booth is NOT full screen)
2. With your face visible on your computer screen take a screenshot of your entire screen, (On a Mac the command is shift+Command+3.)
3. Send the screenshot to kgreen@risd.edu
Each portrait takes on the personality of the student. In a way this is a physical and virtual representation of each person. Some people intentionally set up their screen in an interesting way and others just took a screenshot of whatever was on their screen at the time.
I would love to continue this project, so if you are interested in participating send me your screenshot.
