“You dirty double-crossing limey fink! Those goddamn diamonds are phonies!” This is a quote from Shady Tree in the James Bond film Diamonds are Forever. My interpretation of the Bond film is a substitution, of the half naked female silhouettes in the opening titles, for the data based cryptocurrency Bitcoin. This music video/title sequence is a critical biography of Bitcoin and the events and people that have shaped it. From the wishful thinking media to the anonymous users who use the currency, this video encapsulates multiple perspectives on how cyrptocurrency has and will effect our future and also how we view and perceive a purely digital currency.
